What is FATCA?

The Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act is a piece of US legislation aimed to detect and deter US tax evasion. You can find additional information here: FATCA/DAC2-CRS.

Why is this necessary?

As a financial institution, Soldo Financial Services DAC are obliged under Section 891E of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997 (as amended) and regulations made pursuant to this section to collect certain information our customers’ tax arrangements.

Who is required to complete this process?

An individual who is authorised to act on behalf of your organisation. If this isn’t you, please share the link to this page with the right person. Only one FATCA Entity Self-Certification is required per company.

Steps to complete FATCA Entity Self-Certification

  • Answer the required sections as instructed in the form, which will include requests for:
    • Some identifying information about you and your organisation
    • Some information about your organisation’s US tax status
    • Digital attestation and submission
  • We will review the completed form and get back to you if we have any questions.

Please note that by completing this form you are providing personal information, which may constitute personal data within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (697/2016/EU) (the “GDPR”) and applicable Irish data protection legislation (currently the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003). Please note that in certain circumstances we may be legally obliged to share this information and other financial information with respect to an account holder’s Soldo account, with Irish tax authorities, the Revenue Commissioners. They in turn may exchange this information and other financial information with foreign tax authorities, including tax authorities located outside the EU.
